Um 2:30
Uhr startete mein Tag, als der Wecker ging... Eine Stunde später fuhr mich
Oscar die 30 km nach Vigo, wo mein Bus um 4:30 Uhr zum Flughafen Porto nach
Portugal abfuhr. Diese geniale Verbindung mit alsa (https://www.alsa.es) kostete mich 7 EUR und 2
Stunden - mit Zeitverschiebung 1!) Und
alles ohne die lästigen Masken - auch keine im Flug mit TAP (https://flytap.com) nach Lisboa (40 Min.) und von
dort nach Sao Vicente, Cabo Verde (4 1/2 h). : )
My day started at 2:30 am when the alarm clock went off... An hour later, Oscar drove me the 30 km to Vigo, where my bus departed at 4:30 am for Porto Airport in Portugal. This brilliant connection with alsa (https://www.alsa.es) cost me 7 EUR and 2 hours - with time difference 1!) And all without the annoying masks - neither on the flight with TAP (https://flytap.com) to Lisboa (40 mins) and from there to Sao Vicente, Cabo Verde (4 1/2 hours). : )

Uhr kam ich in Sao Vicente, Cabo Verde, an - mein 99. Land - und heute begann
ich mit Duolingo meine 9. Sprache zu lernen: Portugiesisch!
Der
Flughafen auf Sao Vicente erinnert mich etwas an Wallis & Futuna in
Polynesien (https://franziskaaeschbach17.blogspot.com)... sooo winzig - und dann noch
international! Cool... Auch das Taxi, das mich in nur gerade 10 Minuten zu
meinem Apartment im Las Rochas (https://lasrochasmindelo.com),
Lazareto, brachte.
At 12:30 pm I arrived in Sao Vicente, Cabo Verde - my 99th country - and today I started learning my 9th language with Duolingo: Portuguese!
The airport of Sao Vicente reminds me a bit of Wallis & Futuna in Polynesia (https://franziskaaeschbach17.blogspot.com)... sooo tiny - and yet an international one! Cool... Also the taxi that took me to my apartment in Las Rochas (https://lasrochasmindelo.com), Lazareto in just 10 minutes.

Nachdem
ich die grandiose Aussicht genossen und mich für eine Woche eingerichtet hatte,
marschierte ich los auf Entdeckungstour: 45 Minuten der Küste entlang nach
Mindelo. Es ist ja so entspannt und farbenfroh hier... diese Insel erinnert
mich etwas an Marokko... ja: Reisen und Neues entdecken - ich bin wieder voll
in meinem Element! : ))
After enjoying the magnificent view and settling in for a week, I set off to discover: 45 minutes along the coast to Mindelo. It's very relaxed and colourful here... this island reminds me of Morocco... yes: traveling and discovering new things - I'm back in my element! : ))

Während
meines Bummels durch das hübsche Städtchen Mindelo lernte ich viele freundliche
und hilfsbereite Menschen kennen, so auch Antonio, der mir alles zu beschaffen
half, was ich nötig hatte! : ) Man wird fast von jedermann begrüsst... wenn man
wegen Sprachproblemen nicht weiterkommt, springen alle ein!
During my stroll through the pretty town of Mindelo, I met many friendly and helpful people, including Antonio, who helped me get everything I needed! : ) Almost everyone greets you here... if you get stuck because of language problems, everyone jumps in!
