Heute hatten wir einen Mietwagen bei Evaristo Car Rental (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057410321059) gemietet, der perfekt war um die wilde kleine Insel auszukundschaften: einen Fiat Fullback Pick-Up... was für ein komisches Gefühl solch ein Monster auf einer solch kleinen Insel zu fahren!

Today we rented a car from Evaristo Car Rental (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057410321059), one that was perfect to explore the wild little island: a Fiat Fullback pick-up... what a strange feeling driving such a monster on such a small island!

Am Mittag starteten wir im Gegenuhrzeigersinn. Wir umrundeten die höchste Erhebung Maios Monte Penoso (436 m) und durchquerten den grössten Wald der Kapverden... die Bäume schienen mir eher Büsche... ; ) Nach 70 km und 5 Stunden mit vielen Pausen waren wir zurück in Vila de Maio.

Wie bereits erwähnt, kann ich für diesen Tag nicht auf meine Fotos zurückgreifen, da das Meer mein Handy mit der Schweizer Nummer und der guten Kamera verschlang - Danke Brige für deine Bilder! : )

At noon we started counterclockwise. We circumnavigated the highest peak of Maio Monte Penoso (436m) and crossed the largest forest of Cape Verde... the trees seemed more like bushes to me... ; ) After 70 km and 5 hours with many breaks we were back in Vila de Maio.

As already mentioned, I can't access my photos for this day because the sea swallowed up my mobile phone with the Swiss number and the good camera - thanks Brige for your pictures! : )
