Inselwechsel angesagt...
On Saturday morning I enjoyed my great room and an equal breakfast buffet once again at the Oasis Atlantico Praiamar (https://www.facebook.com/HotelOasisAtlanticoPraiamar)... then it was time to pack for a change of island...

Um 12 Uhr
nahm ich ein Taxi zum Flughafen und freute mich auf den Flug mit Bestfly (https://bestflycaboverde.com) -
endlich bei Tag! Der startete pünktlich um 13:35 Uhr in Praia und ich hatte
einen Fensterplatz ergattert. : ) Nur war es ziemlich schwierig Fotos zu
schiessen auf dem 20-minütigen Flug nach Fogo, denn die Fenster waren alle
total verkratzt!
At noon I took a taxi to the airport and was looking forward to my flight with Bestfly (https://bestflycaboverde.com) - finally with daylight! It took off punctually at 1:35 pm in Praia and I got a window seat. : ) Only it was quite difficult to take photos on the 20 minute flight to Fogo because the windows were all totally scratched!

Am
Flughafen von Fogo wurde ich von einem Taxi abgeholt, das Lucio vom Cruzeiro
Guest House (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100084253873685)
in Sao Filipe organisiert hatte. Er war zwar in den USA, aber heute kann man ja
per Internet alles von überall aus regeln und es klappte! Seine Angestellte
Marlis empfing mich im Cruzeiro und ich fühlte mich gleich wohl: Ein geräumiges
Zimmer mit Balkon und herrlicher Aussicht erwartete mich… und es war sonnig und
warm - endlich hatte ich die richtigen Kleider dabei! - Den ganzen Sonntag genoss
ich in meinem Zimmer und verliess es nur fürs Frühstück auf dem Dach und zum
Abendessen im Melissa's (https://www.melissasguesthouse.cv).

At Fogo airport I was picked up by a taxi organized by Lucio from Cruzeiro Guest House (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100084253873685) in Sao Filipe. He was in the USA, but today you can organize everything from anywhere via Internet and it worked! His employee Marlis received me at the Cruzeiro and I felt at home right away: A spacious room with a balcony and a wonderful view awaited me... and it was sunny and warm - finally I had the right clothes with me! - I enjoyed the whole Sunday in my room and only left it for breakfast on the roof and dinner at Melissa's (https://www.melissasguesthouse.cv). : )

Als
neugieriger Mensch ging ich am Samstag nach meiner Ankunft gleich meine neue
Umgebung ausforschen... Ich entdeckte neben dem Cruzeiro einen schmalen Pfad
steil die Klippen hinunter zum schwarzen Strand und spazierte dann Richtung
Zentrum. Das Städtchen Sao Filipe liegt auf einem Plateau und es geht stets
steil rauf oder runter. Nach einer Runde auf und ab setzte ich mich ins Tropical (https://www.facebook.com/people/Tropical-Club-Restaurante/100069642210411) und genoss mein Abendessen… Danach war ich echt reif fürs Bett und hab mit offenem
Balkon und dem Rauschen des Meeres herrlich geschlafen…

As a curious person, I went to explore my new surroundings on Saturday
after my arrival... I discovered a narrow path next to the Cruzeiro steeply
down the cliffs to the black beach and walked towards the centre. The town of
Sao Filipe lies on a plateau and it always goes steeply up and down. After a
lap up and down I took a table at the Tropical (https://www.facebook.com/people/Tropical-Club-Restaurante/100069642210411) to enjoyed my dinner... Thereafter
I was really ready for bed and slept wonderfully with the open balcony and the
sound of the sea...
